Due to being booked up with private lessons, dressmaking group classes are currently on hold. When we start up again, they will be available to book online. Thanks!

FAQ

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN SEWING MACHINE?

Nope! With the small class sizes we are able to provide a sewing machine for each person, and two overlockers to share between 5.

Using our machines ensures that equipment used in classes has been regularly serviced and no class time is wasted getting machines to work the way we want them to! Skills learned here will easily transfer to your machine at home.

WHERE ARE THE CLASSES HELD?

Classes are held in the Wolf Kin Studio in Duggan Dr, just 450m from the centre of Cowaramup. The studio address can be found in your booking confirmation email.

IS PRIOR SEWING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY?

For the beginner classes, no; just come along and Kate can show you the basics. For Pattern Drafting classes, a basic knowledge of sewing is preferable.

CAN CHILDREN TAKE YOUR CLASSES?

Young people, aged 16+, are able to participate in classes at Wolf Kin Studio. Aged 13+ can participate if accompanied by an adult also taking the class. I also offer private 1:1 lessons for young people aged 13+. Contact Kate for more information.

WHAT IS PROVIDED AT THE CLASSES?

For both the beginner and intermediate classes, we provide the tools and equipment required to complete the projects including sewing machines, overlockers, pattern drafting tools, fabric scissors, tape measures, unpickers, butter paper for patterns, cardboard for pattern blocks and calico fabric for toiles. The few things that you will need to provide yourself (e.g. fabric) are listed in the course descriptions.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes! We have enough parking on site for up to 5 vehicles.
